Junckers HT700 Floor Lacquer (formerly Junckers HP Commercial) is a hard-wearing, 2-component water-based polyurethane lacquer. Those specifications, coupled with its low odour, make it perfectly suitable for:

- Maintenance of lacquered wooden floors in commercial areas subjected to high foot traffic;

- Surface treatment of untreated and/or sanded wooden floors in high-traffic commercial areas;

It's recommended to prime the aforementioned untreated/unsanded floors with Junckers WB Primer, before applying the finishing touches with Junckers HT700 Floor Lacquer.

Package size incl. hardener: 4.95 litres (4.5 + 0.45)

Appearance: It appears as a creamy/milky substance in the container. Once it is applied and dries, it becomes a colourless coating film.

Technical data

  • Mixing

10 parts of lacquer to 1 part of hardener. This means you should put 100 ml of hardener per every litre of lacquer.

  • Application Preparation

The lacquer has to be stirred/shaken until it has formed a smooth mixture. Afterwards, you have to add the hardener and stir the entire thing again, for a minimum of 45 seconds. Leave it to rest for about 10-15 minutes and it should be ready for use. Before starting off your work process with it, shake it a couple of more times, once again for a minimum of 45 seconds. The resulting mix should be used within a timeframe of 2 hours. It's not recommended to reuse an already amalgamated material beyond this time. Using brushes, short-haired mohair rollers or air/airless sprays, you would be able to cover around 10-12m² per litre. DO NOT apply by pouring out the lacquer directly on the floor.

There is also a temperature requirement on the surface you are about to lay it on. It has to be above  15°C. Another thing you have to keep in mind is that if you are to use a spray application with water, the maximum amount of dilution advised is around 15%.

  • Drying time

Touch dry/recoating will take approximately 3 hours at 20° C and 50 % room humidity to dry. The room can receive light traffic in 8 hours and will be fully cured after 3 days. Apply only 2 coats of lacquer per day.

  • Tool cleaning and storage

Rinse the tools with soap and water before the leftover residue dries. If unopened, the pack can last for a year, as long as it's stored in a place with normal room temperature. Not to be exposed to temperatures below 0° C.

Instructions for use

  • Untreated/Sanded Floors

To start off the process, you have to make sure the surface is absolutely clean and dry. There also shouldn't be any dust, wax, grease, polish, soap residues and so on. The surface has to be sanded in order to remove any dirt and irregularities. After that, you should vacuum thoroughly and wipe off with a well-wrung cloth and clean water. Apply one coat of Junckers WB Primer and leave it to dry. Sand with 150-180 grit sandpaper along the fibres of the wood. Vacuum the dust from the sanding and once again wipe off well with a cloth and clean water. Apply a coat of Junckers HT700 Floor Lacquer, leave to dry, and apply the final coat.

  • Previously sealed floors

You will have to begin by washing the floor with Junckers Neutralizer. Then sand the floor by using a 150-180 grit sandpaper. Vacuum all of the leftover dust and wipe off with a well-wrung cloth and clean water. We advise you to do a trial application on a couple of spots, 2 coats at 4-hour intervals. After letting them dry for 24 hours, you can go back to them and check the adhesion by scraping with the edge of a coin. If everything is fine and the result is acceptable, the floor can be lacquered with one coat of Junckers HT700 Floor Lacquer. If the result hasn't passed the coin scratch test, you can proceed with the set of instructions for "Wax/Polish treated floors".

  • Wax/polish treated floors

Machine sanding has to be done before lacquering. You should use grain sizes 24-36 to strip old coats. The leftover abrasion marks will then need to be removed with 60-80 grit and then finally you should use 120-150 grit paper to obtain a perfectly smooth surface. Dispose of leftover dust by vacuuming and sealing the floor as described under "Untreated/Sanded floors".
